Java Sunday Sessions
Meet your neighbors! Do you know who’s the neighbor from across the street? Or to your left? The Javastraat is one of the most “gezellige” streets of Amsterdam, inhabited by people from all over the globe. Some are native Dutch speakers, others grew up speaking Turkish, English, Chinese, Spanish or Arab. Maybe you were born and raised in this street, or you’ve just finished unpacking boxes. We’d like to mix up all of you and get to know each other a bit better!
How? Well, live music always helps, so we’ve invited the coolest band from the neighborhood Les Cooles de Ville for some nice tunes. Want to bring your friends from the neighborhood? Great! Are you coming by yourself? Also great! We’ve got some tricks up our sleeves to help you get to know others (we all know how uncomfortable it can be sometimes to talk to a new face ;).
Bedford Stuyvesant’s owner Caroline Bakker has been so kind to offer to host us (read: to let us hijack their place).
