Queer in Oost x Cinemien: Darklands: are you ready to go deep?
An evening of subverting power structures and systems of value. Fusing art installations, dance, spoken-word and video, the performers work with and through the carnal, the visceral and the imagetic. From two distinct perspectives, this double bill attempts to shed a light on the invisible and expose inner activations of the human experience.
Infinitely Near Point – PedroAfoxso & Nara
Two mediocre artists set out to defend their ground, laying bare the mediocrity that, for various reasons, they hold – and wish to hold dear. This means escaping good, evading bad, and encountering a place of perennial in-between. As they are engulfed by this vulnerable space they rip through systems of value that have kept them afloat but floating, in hopes of finding different shores. Punches, clichés, partner dances, talent shows, homages and other attempts at claiming mediocre space.

Let sleeping corpses lie – Wiktoria Kołcon
“Let Sleeping Corpses Lie” is a narrative that explores the existence of two bodies unfamiliar to one another. Situated in a liminal space where notions of lifelessness and fertility coexist within a single form, the story follows their collective journey of identity exploration and the definition of their relationship. The narrative unfolds as a surreal illusion, weaving themes of self-identity, gender, and speciesism while highlighting a chilling undertone of mortality. As the boundaries between them become increasingly ambiguous and reality dissolves, one begins to forget their own existence, gradually transforming into the other—an abject, forgotten body.
“Let Sleeping Corpses Lie” expands the discourse beyond societal biases related to gender, inviting audiences to confront the disturbing interplay between life, death, and the horrors of daily life. It challenges viewers to reflect on the fluidity of identity and the profound implications of morality and power.
